Front loaders have a locking mechanism to avoid opening the door during a washing cycle but occasionally this lock will be activated accidentally. It may take up to five minutes for the washer to stop spinning and draining before the door will unlock. Remove the screws coming in from the back of the top panel. The door lock led light will blink. The top panel will pull straight back up and off. The door should unlock after this is complete. If there is no motor humming pull the washer forward and unplug it. The washer will go into a hold and drain routine for 8 minutes. Wait approximately 2 minutes for control to reset.
