Pool tables made with mdf tend to be lighter in weight and not terribly sturdy. A home pool table is an invaluable piece of practice equipment cutting out the cost of playing at a pool hall and allowing you to practice whenever you desire. Players have to take care when leaning over a rail or on the table as the table can actually tip over. At the other end of the price scale you can often find mdf pool tables available for a lot cheaper than a slate bed pool table.

These might seem like an attractive option for the price alone but don t be fooled as these can often be troublesome to say the least. Affordable flexible and still quite capable of hosting a good game they re the perfect choice for many casual players homes and families. Mdf is an engineered wood composite that is similar to particle board but is much denser and stronger than particle board. Many amateurs know how to play eight ball on a billiard table but shooting pool at home allows you to explore other games.

The underside is fitted with a honeycomb grid to preserve the top from warping. Mdf bed tables whilst not able to compete with slate beds in terms of absolute performance offer the best value route to owning your own pool table.
