Maytag bravos xl electric dryer not heating.
I have a maytag bravos dryer that was not heating.
01 thermal fuse.
We have checked the thermostat hi and low fuses heating element and all are getting continuity.
My maytag bravos quiet series 300 runs but will not heat up at all.
No heat what so ever.
Dryer will not heat.
If your vent is stopped it up can cause many parts to go bad so check your vent after repairing the dryer no matter what was wrong with the dryer.
This slows the process of removing moist air out of the dryer which will result in longer drying cycles.
This not only applies to maytag dryer.
The thermal fuse is a safety device designed to protect the dryer from overheating.
Why is my maytag dryer not heating.
So about 25 to 35 feet is all you can do.
Replaced thermo fuse cycling thermostat hi temp cut out and thermostat kit and heat element.
The hi temp cut out kit had a jumper wire for three wire hook up.
I hooked everything up the same as was.
Got a maytag bravo mct medx655dw1 not heating cleaned it checked plug and cord its got 240 to dryer.
The fuse is located on the blower housing or at the dryer s heat source such as the heating element on.
Now its not drying again.
Electric dryers require 240 volt power supply.
A load that is too large for the dryer will not tumble and limits air movement in the dryer.

Wrong type of fuse.
Side note i recently had to have my power company come out and fix our lines at the curb after experiencing flickering lights and low power to appliances.
We replaced cycling thermostat and it worked fine for a couple of days.
Anyway these maytags have performed as hoped and expectations were exceeded.
Even confirmed that the heating element is.

Household fuse is blown or circuit breaker has tripped.
It was at the same time as our lights started flickering that the dryer lost heat.
Use a time delay fuse.
